Chairman - Internationally renowned throughout the world for his immense knowledge and experience in the field of Geo-engineering in which he is one of the greatest experts. He has been under the spotlight of the scientific and academic world with papers, research studies and regular attendance at conferences and congresses. A former director of Laboratoire de Mécanique des Solides di Ponts et Chaussées he is vice president of the International Society of Rock Mechanics (ISRM).

Giovanna Cassani -

Technical Director - Structural Civil Engineer with Rocksoil since 1998. As a project manager she has worked over the years on the design of numerous road, metro and rail tunnels. She has participated in the most significant and important of the company’s designs and projects, including the Venezia Station of Milan, constructed using cellular arch technology, the Tartaiguille Tunnel on the Lyon-Marseille G.T.V. line and the Bologna–Florence high speed line. She has been Technical Director since July 2001.
Renzo Bindi -

Head of Scientific Development and External Relations - A civil engineer specialising in transport, he has been with Rocksoil S.p.A. since 1983, working for many years on tunnel design, special foundations and slope stabilisation. He worked on the computerisation of the company, was head of Computer Systems until 1994 and is currently in charge of scientific activity and public relations. Academically he has supervised many degree theses in the faculties of engineering at the universities of Florence and Parma. He is Secretary General of the Società Italiana di Geoingegneria (Italian Geo-engineering Society ) and Councillor of the Società Italiana Gallerie (Italian Tunnelling Society).
Martino Gatti -
Project Manager and Technical Activities and Resources Coordinator at the Milan headquarters – Construction civil engineer specialising in structures at the F.lli Pesenti School of the Polytechnic of Milan; he has been with Rocksoil since 1996. He participated in the design of the Apennine tunnels on the Bologna to Florence High Speed Line, on the new A1 motorway route across the Apennines, on numerous lots of the Milan, Genoa and Naples metro lines and on the repair of the Mont Blanc Tunnel after the fire in 1999.
Andrea Belfiore -
Project manager – A civil engineer specializing in hydraulics, with Rocksoil S.p.A. since 1994. He is Project Manager responsible for Design, Technical Assistance during construction and Direction of the Works. As Technical Assistant and Designer on site he worked on the construction of the Baldo degli Ubaldi station of the Rome metro, on the construction of the Tartaiguille tunnel in France on the TGV Mediterranèe Lyon-Marseille line, on the construction of the Line 1 of the Athens metro. He participated as Operational Director, Safety Coordinator and Project Leader in the design and work direction in the widening of the Nazzano tunnel on the A1 motorway, that was carried out without interrupting traffic (first in the world). Now he is working on the design of the Lines 1 and 6 of the Naples metro.
Andrea Bellocchio -
Project Manager – Civil engineer, he has worked for Rocksoil at the Rome headquarters since 1986. He started his career on the study and development of numerical modelling for the excavation of tunnels. He participated in the construction design of the new high speed Bologna-Florence railway line at the Bologna location of the company (CAVET Consortium) from 1997 until 2004. As the engineer with responsibility for tunnels on the Tuscan section of the line he was in charge of supervision and design during construction. He has led the design and construction of road, motorway, rail, water and metro tunnels at the Milan headquarters since 2004, working on both deep and shallow tunnels, driven using a variety of construction methods. He has acquired considerable experience in the mechanised excavation of tunnels in urban environments.
Claudio De Giudici -

Project Manager - A civil engineer specializing in transport, with Rocksoil S.p.A. since 1996. For many years he has been Project Manager responsible for Design and Technical Assistance during construction for projects in central and southern Italy and the islands. He has worked on the underground works for the new Bologna to Florence High-Speed rail line. Since 2005 to 2007 he has worked on the design of the Lines 1 and 6 of the Naples metro. From 2008 he is Project Manager responsible for Design and Technical Assistance during construction for projects in northern Italy; among these the boring of the pilot tunnel for the new Base Brenner tunnel.
Fabrizio Carriero - 
Project Manager – Civil transport engineer, previously on the staff at Rocksoil S.p.A. in the 1990s and now back on the workforce since March 2008. He has taken part in the design of major road, mainline and metropolitan rail infrastructures in Italy in various roles. Projects include the Rome to Naples high speed railway, Line B1 of the Rome Metro, the modernisation of the Florence-Bologna and North Florence-South Florence sections of the A1 motorway, the restoration of the Mont Blanc tunnel after the fire, Line C of the Rome Metro, the Mestre Tunnel, the Marches Umbria “Quadrilateral”, the Terni-Rieti state road, the third bore of the Gran Sasso tunnel and the new Col di Tenda tunnel. He is currently Project Manager for the central section of Line C on the Rome Metro.
Simona Comi - 
Project Manager – Civil engineer specialising in soil mechanics and stabilisation works, with Rocksoil since 1995, she has performed and is performing design activities and provides technical assistance during the construction of metro lines, road, rail and water tunnels. One of her specialisations is excavations under shallow overburdens in urban contexts; she is currently responsible for the construction design of the Salonika Metro.
Luca Mancinelli -
Project Manager – Structural Civil Engineer at Rocksoil since 2001. He works on design and numerical modelling for tunnels, special foundations, support works, slope stability and structures in general. He has participated as a project manager in the activities of the company on various projects involving civil engineering structures, infrastructures and conventional and mechanised excavation.
Fiorenza Pennino -
Head of the Geological Service - Geologist, with Rocksoil since 1997. Head of the project management geological survey service for the Venezia Nuova Consortium from 1990 until 1997. She works in the company on geological problems, geological surveys and geomechanics in the design and construction stages for tunnels, foundations and slope stabilisation works.
Antonio Voza -

Project Manager – Civil engineer specialising in soil mechanics and stabilisation works, with Rocksoil since 1995, he has participated in the design activities of the company with on site technical assistance duties on some of the main contracts for construction design, monitoring and geomechanics consultation. He is currently project manager, amongst other things, for the construction design of the extension to the North of line 3 of the Milan Metro and of some lots on the new motorway route across the Apennines.
Alvise Amadi -
Project Manager – Geologist with Rocksoil since 2001, he has participated in design and on site technical assistance activities on sites for the new high Speed/high capacity Bologna-Florence railway line as head of line section since 2004. He is currently also providing technical assistance on some lots on the new motorway route across the Apennines.
Carlo Iemmi -
Project Manager - Geologist, with Rocksoil since 2000, he has participated in design and on site technical assistance activities on sites for the new High Speed / High Capacity Bologna-Florence railway line, controlling the Mt. Bibele and Pianoro tunnel contruction. He is currently responsible for the on site technical assistance concerning the excavation works of 23 tunnels for the modernization of the Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway (maxilots 5 and 6).
Cassola Luciano -
Head of the technical drawing department – He has been with Rocksoil since 1988 working on the study of the principal designs produced by the company. He co-ordinates the technical drawing department managing the design of portals and sections of tunnel autonomously.
